Lieselot Declercq

Lieselot Declercq is a social entrepreneur, teacher, pedagogue & researcher deeply committed to inclusive online learning through digital pedagogy. As the co-founder and ceo of d-teach online training, d-teach online school and ICONS (International Community of Online Schools), she strives to impact inclusive education through digital education.
With over 18 years of experience in online learning from primary to higher education, Lieselot has contributed to educational policy and quality assurance at Ghent University and in government roles. She holds a teacher’s degree, specialized in special needs education, advanced training in educational management, two MScs in Pedagogical and Educational Sciences, and certificates in Digital Transformation, International Relations & Diplomacy, AI for Business Strategy at MIT & Designing your Human-Centered AI Strategy at HAI Stanford. In addition to her leadership roles, Lieselot served as an industry promoter for PhD research and is herself a PhD student in ‘AI in Education,’ in collaboration with Ghent University.
She is member of the Board of Directors at Agoria, Patron of Europe101, Fellow of Belgium's 40u40, Collective Changemaker Wintercircus, Female Edtech Fellow Europe, Co-founder AI awards for education, Fellow of the EDSAFE AI Alliance, Collaborator at the AI in Education at Oxford University (AIEOU) Hub.
